Sat. Mar. 3 – Acoustic Jam with The Sheepdogs

Apollonian Hotel Jam Tarts

The Sunshine Coast is blessed to have some of the best musicians in Australia living here. Come along and hear local musicians getting together to make acoustic music and have a heap of fun doing it.

The Sheepdogs will be leading the jam and conclude the jam with a short performance.

The Sheepdogs operate on the rule that it’s all about fun. They were initially inspired by rural string bands of the 1930’s and while a fair bit of their repetoire comes from that era they also incorporate elements of bluegrass, honky tonk etc. and it’s not completely unknown for them to chuck in a latin or gospel tune if the mood strikes them.

Onlookers are most welcome. If you play an instrument come along and join in (players at all levels welcome). Acoustics instruments only.

Details: Jam 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm, followed by a performance from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm by The Sheepdogs.

Where: Apollonian Hotel, Laguna Street, Boreen Point – Map – about a 20 minute drive from Noosa Beach.

Come early for lunch or stay afterwards for dinner – Noosa’s historic Apollonian Hotel offers an excellent pub-style menu – plus wide cool verandahs in summer, open fireplaces in winter, all in a rainforest setting with lawns where children can play.

Have a drink and stay overnight in the hotel’s unique former railway worker’s accommodation
