Sat. Jun. 23 – Acoustic Jam with The Barleyshakes – CANCELLED

Apollonian Hotel Jam Tarts

The Barleyshakes have advised us they are no longer available for this date. Col Noble & Steve Hutchinson (two of our regular Sunday Lunch performers) have offered to fill in and give you a taste of their variable music choices. These two have been great friends for a number of years playing at various events and parties. This will be a fun event to suit all sorts of players and styles.

The Barleyshakes will be leading the jam and conclude the jam with a short performance. Come along and hear local musicians getting together to make acoustic music and have a heap of fun doing it.

The Barleyshakes have headlined international festivals and toured many parts of the world in various forms. They’ve been based in Australia since headlining the 2000/2001 edition of the world famous Woodford Folk Festival.

High energy, fun Irish music performed by great musicians with talent, a solid traditional foundation and tasteful experimental leanings. The Barleyshakes are more than capable of raising whichever roof has the good fortune to be sheltering them.

Details: Jam 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm, followed by a performance from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm by Col Noble & Steve Hutchinson The Barleyshakes.

Where: Apollonian Hotel, Laguna Street, Boreen Point – Map – about a 30 minute drive from Noosa Beach.

Come early for lunch or stay afterwards for dinner – Noosa’s historic Apollonian Hotel offers an excellent pub-style menu – plus wide cool verandahs in summer, open fireplaces in winter, all in a rainforest setting with lawns where children can play.

The Apollonian’s famous spit roast is available on all jam nights from 6.30 pm for just $15. Have a drink and stay overnight in the hotel’s unique former railway worker’s accommodation
