Sat. Feb. 11 – Acoustic Jam with Acoustic Union String Band

Apollonian Hotel Jam Tarts

Acoustic Union String BandThe Sunshine Coast is blessed to have some of the best musicians in Australia living here. Come along and hear local musicians getting together to make acoustic music and have a heap of fun doing it.

Acoustic Union String Band will be leading the jam and conclude the jam with a short performance. This Brisbane based band performs in various authentic 1920s golden age and contempory musical styles.

Their musical influences come from traditional artists such as Yank Rachell, The Mississippi Sheiks, Tommy Johnson and The Memphis Jug Band. We are also inspired by modern musicians such as; Steve Earle, Steve James, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, The Ten Cent Shooters and C.W. Stoneking.

Instruments include; traditional and resonator guitar, 5 string banjo, double bass and vocals.
