Owners Lou & Neil Paynter seek to continue the historic tradition of the Apollonian as a Gympie Goldfields Music Hall by filling the hotel with music.
Our current Dining room is where the pioneers on the Gympie Goldfields went to enjoy some truly amazing local musical events over 100 years ago – Lou Paynter
The local Boreen Point area is filled with an array of great musicians including a local group, The Sheepdogs, and local musicians such as Col Noble & Steve Hutch.
Don’t be surprised to see them and some of the other local musicians jamming somewhere in the hotel any day of the week. Madam Publican, Lou Paynter, will often grab her banjo and join them.
